plein air, oil, 8" x 10", 'Tide In, Tide Out'
My painting is a slow dance of the ocean washing across the craggy rocks and then pulling the silty sand back into the peacock aqua. The process was rhythmic and soothing as I felt the edges of my painting develop. There was so much more I wanted to add but hesitated knowing that more sometimes reduces the simplicity of subject and creates too much information for the mind to get hijacked.
